Principal's Message

As we begin the new academic year, I look forward to another year as principal of Twin Oaks Elementary School. It is both an honor and a pleasure to serve the Twin Oaks Elementary community of students, families, and staff. Our school has enjoyed much success over the past few years and I am looking forward to many more successes.

I began my teaching career in 1993 as a teacher at Paloma Elementary School in San Marcos. I have had many enriching opportunities since then in our district as a Teacher on Special Assignment, Coordinator of Services for English Learners, and as Assistant Principal.

Our school community is deeply committed to raising the academic achievement of all students in a safe, supportive environment. Our staff believes that all students are capable of attaining their personal best. The staff at Twin Oaks works extremely hard to provide students with a rigorous and engaging curriculum that incorporates 21st-century skills. We are proud of our inclusive school culture and value the talents of all students.

Twin Oaks Elementary School strives to be a professional learning community. Teacher collaboration is a key component of student achievement and professional development. The staff also works extremely hard to be current with new learning and committed to improving their teaching skills. In addition to our strong academic programs, our students also enjoy rich music and art education taught by exceptional instructors with a passion for their fields.

I look forward to working with our students, parents, and community and to a successful school year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 760.290.2588.

Sincerely,

Silvia Ventura-Jacobsen
